inspiration

AMOROS draws its essence from the golden age of ancient Andalucía, a time of remarkable cultural fusion and discovery.

Our story begins in the year 711 AD, when 7,000 tribesmen, known as the Moors, journeyed from Morocco to southern Spain under the guidance of Tariq Ibn Ziyad. With them, they brought knowledge, skills, tools, and a treasure trove of spices, fruits, and precious oils—ingredients that the Western world had never seen before.

This historic encounter set the foundation for a centuries-long blend of North African and Iberian influences, shaping Andalucía’s art, architecture, and, most uniquely, its scents.

INGREDIENTS

“Perfume is the bridge between the earth’s gifts and the soul’s desires.”
– J. El Majjaoui

At AMOROS, we honor the beauty and richness of the finest natural ingredients, each carefully sourced from every corner of the world. We believe that every natural element—be it a blossom, spice, or resin—carries an emotion and a story, whispering secrets of the lands it comes from. To wear a scent crafted by AMOROS is to carry a piece of the world’s beauty with you, a timeless connection to the essence of nature and the places it calls home.

“Every natural ingredient is a treasure, waiting to become a part of someone’s story.”

TIMELESS ELEGANCE

The inspiration behind our bottle & cap design

The design of our perfume bottle is a tribute to the architectural splendor of the Alhambra, the Alcazaba, and other magnificent Moorish palaces. Its square, bold form reflects the imposing yet harmonious geometry of these historic structures, embodying their mathematical precision and timeless elegance.

The cap is inspired by the intricate Moroccan art of Naqsh, a forgotten technique of carving mesmerizing geometric patterns into buildings. This ancient craft, rooted in precision and artistry, lives on in our design. The top of the cap echoes the serene reflecting pools found in palace courtyards—symbols of tranquility and a deep sensory connection to nature.

Together, the bottle and cap celebrate a legacy of beauty, craftsmanship, and the enduring harmony of design and nature.
